GBIT - Special Trainings RFP Revised

Information Technology Department Government of Gilgit-Baltistan, intends to launch Advanced Digital skill development Programs on various technologies i.e. Mobile Application Development, MERN Stack Development, Game Development & Modeling and Cloud Solutions Architecture) through customized and tailored made programs in Gilgit and Skardu in order to enhance skill level and employability of youth of Gilgit-Baltistan to match international demands.

Digital Training Centers Jutial and Chilmisdass Center Gilgit.

IT Department GB has installed solar solutions in our two Digital Training Centers at Jutial and Chilmisdass center Gilgit.
IT Department is also planning two such Digital Training centres at Chilas and Skardu within government owned buildings.
These Training centres will be utilised for skill development of youth of GB.

Information Technology Department GB, Continues e-Governance Consultative Sessions with Departments

Information Technology Department GB, continues e-Governance consultative sessions with departments. Director Food Department GB, briefs Secretary IT and technical team about department automation needs regarding development of a Solution to cater procurement, distribution, collection, payments and stock assessment. Geo tagging of all assets of food department, development of the departmental website and development of a master plan for the whole process also came under discussion. Secretary IT and team gave their input regarding best way to implement the project and assured professional support at every level and monitoring at development / maintenance phases. The meeting concluded with a commitment for a detailed session and vote of thanks from the Director Food Department, to Secretary IT and team.

Meeting With GB Freelancers Association

Secretary Information Technology GB Mr. Azam Khan and team had a meeting with the delegation of GB Freelancers Association (GBFA) at the IT Department on 30th November, 2022. GBFA briefed them about the formation & functioning of GBFA, and requested support from the IT department through the provision of co-working space. Secretary IT ensured that the IT Department will be at the forefront of creating an enabling environment for freelancers of GB.

Digital Skill Training for the Youth of GB

Information Technology Department Gilgit-Baltistan is going to start free of cost digital skill training for the youth of GB in different domains for professional development and to enable them to earn from various online platforms i.e. Upwork, Fiver etc. Interested applicants are requested to fill out and submit the application forms before 8th December 2022. Seats are limited, therefore, Interviews shall be conducted to select dedicated and interested applicants and a final list of successful candidates will be published shortly.
