مشیر انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی ثریا زمان نے گلگت میں ہائی امپیکٹ اسکلز ڈویلپمنٹ پروگرامز کی کامیاب تکمیل کے موقع پر سرٹیفکیٹ تقسیم کرنے کے حوالے سے منعقدہ تقریب سے خطاب میں انہوں نے اس اہم اقدام کی افادیت پر زور دیا اور کہا کہ اس نوعیت کے پروگرامز نوجوانوں کے لیے نہ صرف جدید دنیا میں اپنی جگہ بنانے کا موقع فراہم کرتی ہیں بلکہ پاکستان کی ٹیکنالوجی کے شعبے میں ترقی کے لیے بھی اہم کردار ادا کرتی ہیں۔ انہوں نے گریجویٹس کی محنت اور عزم کو سراہا اور ان سے کہا کہ وہ پاکستان کی بڑھتی ہوئی ٹیکنالوجی انڈسٹری کا حصہ بن کر اپنی صلاحیتوں کو مزید نکھاریں۔انہوں نے حکومت کی جانب سے ڈیجیٹل خواندگی کے فروغ اور نوجوانوں کے لیے ابھرتی ہوئی ٹیکنالوجیز میں مہارت حاصل کرنے کے مواقع فراہم کرنے کے عزم کا اعادہ کیا۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ حکومت کا وژن یہ ہے کہ نوجوانوں کو انڈسٹری کے تقاضوں کے مطابق مہارت فراہم کی جائے تاکہ نہ صرف ان کی ملازمت کے امکانات بڑھیں بلکہ ان میں کاروباری صلاحیتیں بھی فروغ پائیں۔ تقریب میں صوبائی وزیر برائے سماجی بہبود دلشاد بانو نے اپنے خطاب میں کہا کہ حکومت، ڈیجیٹل مستقبل کو مضبوط بنانے کے لیے پرعزم ہے اور اس پروگرام کے ذریعے نئی نسل کو ٹیکنالوجی کے میدان میں کامیابی کے مواقع فراہم کررہے ہیں

Certificate Distribution Ceremony for High-Impact Skills Development Program and Advance skills development program Held in gilgit
Gilgit – A prestigious certificate distribution ceremony was held today to honor the graduates of the High-Impact Skills Development Programs in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Blockchain conducted by NUST Islamabad, as well as the Advanced Skills Development Programs in Mobile App Development, Game Development, Cloud Solution Architecture, and MERN Stack Development by Hazza Institute Islamabad.
The event was graced by Honorable Minister for IT, Miss Suriya Zaman, Minister for Social Welfare Department, and Secretary IT Department, Mr. Riaz Ahmed, along with other distinguished guests. The officials commended the efforts of the IT Department, Gilgit-Baltistan Government, for empowering youth with cutting-edge skills in modern technologies.
In her address, Minister IT Miss Suriya Zaman emphasized the importance of such initiatives in bridging the digital skills gap and fostering innovation. She praised the graduates for their dedication and encouraged them to contribute to Pakistan’s growing tech industry.
Secretary IT Mr. Riaz Ahmed highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting digital literacy and providing opportunities for skill development in emerging technologies. He reiterated the department’s vision to equip the youth with industry-relevant expertise to enhance employability and entrepreneurship.
These programs, offered under the GB Government’s IT Department, aim to create a skilled workforce capable of meeting global technological demands. 11:31:32 AM 12 March, 2025IT department is proud to share that the data collection of food beneficiaries through their well developed mobile survey application and MIS portal accross Gilgit Baltistan has been completed. For the next phase, the verification of the data will be carried out. To achieve this, the collective team of Food and IT department had a meeting with NADRA today on 16th Jan 2025 at NADRA Headquarter Islamabad. NADRA is keen to provide support and technical facilitation for the verification of data and a joint strategy will be drafted to execute this activity

Notably, the portal has generated an impressive 50 million rupees in application fees in the first seven days of its opening, a remarkable achievement that highlights the department's efforts to leverage technology for efficient governance.
02:32:51 PM 13 January, 2025The online portal for new Mines and Mineral was opened for applicants on 6th Jan 2025. Since of its opening, around 609 companies were registered. These companies filled approximately 1126 digital applications, generated roughly 911 challans, uploaded 780 challans and submitted around Rs. 39.00 million fee. The portal is created and developed by Information Technology Department GB in collaboration with Directorate of Mines and Minerals GB. The successful launch of this portal marks a significant milestone in streamlining the mines and mineral application process
02:24:50 PM 07 January, 2025A meeting was held between the Chief Secretary of Gilgit Baltistan, IT Department and Mines and Minerals Department, to discuss the automation and operationalize of the Lease Management Information System. The IT Department showcased the final version of the system, which aims to provide a transparent and efficient platform for mining lease applications ¹. The Chief Secretary directed that the system be made live as soon as possible, enabling applicants to submit their mining lease applications efficiently. This initiative is expected to promote ease of doing business and good governance in the region. The Lease Management System is designed to streamline the application process, reduce paperwork, and increase transparency. Once live, it will provide a user-friendly interface for applicants to submit their applications, track the status, and receive updates on the processing of their leases.
02:23:06 PM 30 December, 2024On December 26, 2024, the IT Department GB successfully conducted a training session on the online CM Task Management System for representatives from various departments at the CM Secretariat in Gilgit. The training aimed to equip participants with the skills to efficiently manage tasks and projects using the online CM Task Management System. This system is designed to streamline workflow, enhance collaboration, and increase productivity. During the training, participants learned about the key features of the system, including Task Creation and Assignment, Real-Time Collaboration, Automationand Customizable Dashboards. They also gained hands-on experience in using the system to manage tasks and projects.
